Ideation... I practice a structured ideation process that still allows for divergence and convergence. The producer in me is quick to identify good ideas that need maturing. Once opportunities are identified, I take action to progress them.
It is important to collaborate and brainstorm during this phase. I am a firm believer in two minds are better than one. This is a time to be open - you never know what will create that spark.
My peers tell me I'm full of great ideas. But I am well aware that you must create nine mediocre ideas to achieve one good one. This is why it's crucial to create a safe and comfortable space for ideation, so everyone feels compelled to contribute.
How do you create that space? I harness my innate curiosity. It's one of the best traits a human has, and boy does it open us up to opportunity.
